Does anyone have any information on these types of 12 ga shells and their various loads?

I have seen a few pics in the past randomly but never put much stock into them at all. Has anyone ever done any types of reloading to create these types of shortened loads either?

Any info at all...I am all ears.

:D

Short shells are necessary in some of the old, light european doubles, and a very few North American guns from the turn of the century. As BB mentioned above, they can still be bought from Gamebore and some other manufacturers. Hogdon has data for loading 2" and 2-1/2" shells, and Ballistic Products sells specialized wads and even some short hulls, and the data to go with them. Don't just cut down a 2-3/4" hull and put in a shorter wad, data is specific for short shells because pressure goes up when volume is decreased.

i regularly use 2 1/2" shells for my old damascus hammerguns, and i do use cut down 2 3/4" cases, but handloadings easy as i use black powder. Like they say"once you try black, you'll never go back".
