Shortening a gun

Hey guys, i want to shorten up an old single shot 12 guage i have. I want to make sure i am understanding the regs. As long as overall length is 660mm and the barrel is 470mm i will be good to go right?

Hey guys, i want to shorten up an old single shot 12 guage i have. I want to make sure i am understanding the regs. As long as overall length is 660mm and the barrel is 470mm i will be good to go right?

aslong as overal is no shorter than 26.5" and barrel is no shorter than 18.5", you have no problems unless they have changed the rules in the last few months. my computer wont let me open the firearms act on the RCMP website.

its 18.504" not 18"
