this is for a Rifle reloading, entertaining the idea of cutting or shortening the decapping pin of my Dillon FL Sizing Die 223, to avoid media getting stuck in the Primer Hole when retumbling to get rid of the Lube after resizing. Will just use a Decapping Die on my main Tool Head for the main reloading. Thanks
Shortening/ cutting a Sizing Die decapping pin

I do not have any Dillon dies but have removed the expander in RCBS dies and used a expander die to expand the neck at a later date.
I use a universal decapping die and either wet tumble or dry tumble so the primer pockets are cleaned before sizing.
In my opinion it takes longer to clean all the primer pockets by hand than push out a few cases with media in the flash holes.
Last night I used pet store walnut lizard litter to remove the lube and only had to push the media out two primer pockets.
And the larger brands of walnut media specific for reloading seem to get stuck in more primer pockets.
There is no free ride with any method of getting primer pockets clean, and its just a matter which method you prefer.
And to answer your question it looks like you can take the die apart but you would need to cut off the decapping pin to do what you want to do.
