Agreed. I enjoy my Sr410, but even a 20ga revolver would be a lot more feasible as a Wildlife Protection gun.

Not sure how a 20ga slug would compare to say a 44mag bullet, but I think it would do a whole lot better than 410.

12 GA like you said... now that would be a hoot, and cheaper to shoot! Plus you could get some mini shells to keep the recoil down a bit

Assuming "mid SS211 short AUSLOF" refers to a mid-length, shortened variant of the SS211 with an AUSLOF (Australia-style law enforcement?) mod or designation.

Auslof refers to an old conversion for a single shot 12ga to turn it into a repeater. TI sells a modern repro of that concept.
