Can anyone recommend a soft case for a shorty shotgun? Something in the 25 to 30 inch in length?
Does such a product exist? I don't want to buy a regular one and have like eleven feet of extra length.

I have this 35" one from amazon.ca for a dominion arms grizzly pump 12G that is 30" long x 8" high with rail & TRS red dot on it.
The case length wise is perfect for my 30" long, height wise it's a bit too big for my liking, but there doesn't seem to be many options that have a shorter height.
$75

I use an uncle Mike's zippered take down case for double guns. My regulator fits in nicely
Otherwise I use some soft cases for paint ball guns. They work great as well

I like padded tripod cases
You can order them from Amazon or eBay in whatever length you want.
They’re not robust enough for backcountry transport by themselves but they’re handy to pack the gun into a larger pack or duffel bag with your other stuff.
I use those plus a small cable tsa combo lock through the action.
Plus a small lockable pelican type case for the ammunition.
Very handy setup for putting in your bigger luggage that stays legal for both transport and storage requirements.
It’s all cheap stuff too.
I spend the good money on the outer packs and bags.

That is a good idea, I will need several at different lengths and the price seems right.

Excellent idea, I bought this one to try, has a couple zipper pockets for a trigger lock or whatever.

I always look for a gun case that doesn't look like a gun case. Just in case.

That mostly means something with no hugely visible brand name on it and that doesn't actually mimic the shape of a firearm.

For what it's worth
- Unless you are wearing full-camo and also carrying a bag full of decoys... nobody but another firearm owners will know any better.
- If you have some concerns, just slap on some patch from your favortie band/team

Back when it was still legal to do so, I took the Montreal subway with my rifles in this.
- Nobody cared
- Only time someone talked to me, was some LEO (one of them being a member at our club)... the other-guy wanted to know what I played and suggested I took my keyboard out to entertain while waiting for the next train...

Just remember that concealing a firearm in a container designed for something else such as a violin case is not legal unless marked as containing a firearm in case law

From a lawyer friend: Conceal is all about "intent".
- If you put a gun in a gym bag to smuggle/deceive, the action could be considerd criminal
- If you are putting in a gym bag because it is convenient, and you are not intentionally commiting a crime... you are good to go.
