myself and 2 buddies found a nice safe spot to shoot a few today that ranged out just past 1300 yards .while i have never shot over 800 yards before today,i was pleasantly suprised..took a few shots ,back and fourth with my trusty dope card and ,in my opinion,worked out well . 10 inch ar 500 gong was swinging away.i was pretty excited to have shot that far my first time.338 lapua savage 110ba. 285 grain hrnady bthp.89 grains h1000.federal match 215s. 3.700 coal..i know thats not as far as some ,but i was pleased..thanks for reading..grant.

i will get some video next time i go out.pictures also..its a real rush.shocked at the bullet drop as im winding in the moa.also had a 10mph crosswind.measured with my friends burris eliminator .dont ask me how a scope knows the wind.shots were taken north east.rifle was zeroed at 250yards.wound a ton of elevation into it(cant remember how much exactly without my card) but i do remember 3 moa worth of crosswind.good times for sure..only about an hour drive from my house.there appears to be a spot approx 2km.i will leave that for another day.need to practice getting more on target at 1300 first.horse before the cart.very happy with my reloads..anyone have any pointers for a relatively new shooter?
