Got the chance to shoot a suppressed version of this bad boy over the weekend in .338 -- man holy #### this is an insane rifle. Hitting 1km steel... easily. I want one ... but I don't have $20k lying around

Will a built Tikka T3 (or other) get me close? Recommendations for a build out with a folding stock, fully adjustable everything + mlok handguard type deal?

I'd pay $20k just to have a legal suppressor.

Well that was speaking facetiously, but that is the most attractive part of the OP.

I had one out on the range last weekend. I shot 5 rnds out to 250 yards in the 338 Lapua setup (also comes with 300WM and 308 barrels/mags/bolts) and I was done. I never had my brain rattled like that before. I think 3 rnds per day is sufficient.
Yeah there was some snipers shooting unsupressed next to me and it sucked

Im kind of glad they didn't fire the .50 either

But the sako i was shooting was great, zero issues I think the supressor makes a huge difference

The KRG Whiskey Chassis is a folding version. It is an outstanding chassis for the factory Tikka CTR Barrelled Action that I installed. Instant sub-MOA performance with Sako 143gr FMJ ammunition. My build came in around $12K, including $5.3K for the Nightforce ATACR 7-35x 56mm optic.

Really nice build, wish I could afford that lol. Where did you get the CTR action only? Cost?

Thanks! I bought a Tikka UPR (Ultimate Precision Rifle) which is just a CTR Barrelled Action in an upgraded semi-adjustable synthetic Stock. I sold the Stock and ended up with the Barrelled Action for right around $1200 in like new condition.

Just pick up a CTR in the calibre and Barrel length of your choice, then sell off the el-cheapo plastic stock (if you can). Tikka Barrelled Actions are all pretty much the same, depending on your barrel length and profile/weight. All are factory guaranteed to shoot MOA with quality ammo. In my admittedly brief Tikka experience, that translates to sub-MOA with factory Match ammo. Handloads are even better....

The KRG Whiskey 3 Gen 6 Chassis was around $1800. The glass was $5300, the CADEX Falcon Light Bipod was $500, the Timney Trigger cost $400, the Area 419 Muzzle Brake was $200, and so on (and on). It doesn't take long to get to $12K when selecting top-notch components. But what a shooter!!
