Does anyone out there have any experience with shot curtains? I’m investigating the possibility of using one of these to allow two side-by-side ranges to operate simultaneously. I recall hearing that a club around London had installed these, but I don’t have any further details. I have some information from a club in the US, however it looks like they recycled the curtains from another source, and did not purchase a purpose made product.

Thanks in advance.

I do not understand your purpose. In clay sports like trap, side-by-side ranges do operate simultaneously with out need of a shot curtain.

...shot curtains.....

...are very popular at the european gun clubs.....I saw a lot of them being used at Italian shooting clubs, especially at Lonato......

I talked to a manufacture at Shotshow in 09 I think he told me $2500 US for the curtains for a trap field. You provide the telephone poles and steel cable.

Thanks, that will help. I attended the NRA range development course a couple of years ago, and in the example that they showed the club had used the packaging that covered large rolls of newspaper print, which they obtained for free.

This helps greatly with the upper end of the range $free - $2,500 plus poles and wires. I did hear back from Windsor and I will post an update (with their permission) once I get answers.
