Had a Winchester Model 61 handed down to me. I had to correct a few pieces and finally put it together today.
Brought it to the range and put over a hundred rounds through it.

What a fun little gun to shoot. It really liked the Blazer ammo I was feeding it. Got a decent group at 100 yards. By decent I mean a few inches and by a few I mean like 4-5 inches. But hey with a fixed optic that's alright ;)

Anyway it was cool to play with a pump .22lr

I`ve been selling my small collection and my model 61 will be buried with me. I owned a Winchester 9422 and a Marlin 39a and after shooting the pump....I sold the levers.

I did too - joined the club - but only yesterday. As you say, fun shooting. Got about looney sized groups of five at 25 yds with best ammo. Never got shooting out further than that with it.

A Browning pump was my dad's 22 which I used a lot when young - roaming fields after chucks all summer. So last week when I saw this decent well used Win Model 61 with a perfect bore at one of the local gun emporiums, a fit of nostalgia made me buy this Browning pump look alike. Not sure if I'll keep this winnie long however - we'll see.

Here she is.
