so Im looking into reloading shot shells and I got a few questions
1. I shoot 3.5inch bbb at geese is there any reloaders that load the 3.5" shells (cuz im only finding ones that do 3")
2. How much money does it save to load the 3.5" shells
3. How much money would it save for duck loads (I shoot federal speedshok 4 shot)
4. What is a good brand of reloader
thanx for the help
Daniel

Not sure about the 3.5 as far as reloading but I shoot the same BBB as you do . I have reloaded for trap for 25 years and find it ia not cost effective any more. I also reload my own steel duck loads 1oz fours but it is not really much cheaper but I load them really hot and fast cuz speed kills:D

RCBS makes a loader called the MINI GRAND. This loader can handle the 3.5"shells.
Be careful when you load steel. With the the bigger sizes you should weigh or count you pellets. Like Bogman I reload 23/4" shells with 1oz steel #3 at a speed of 1400fps.

speed does kill!
I reload 23/4 federal hulls,36 grains 800x,3/4 oz steel(BUFFERED) and RSI specs 1850 as speed. I tried these loads out this year and do they work well,YES!.They are deadly for duck(2 and 4)
I also went from mod to full and get 60% plus patterns at 25 yards.Took a flying goose at about 40 plus yards with BB and the load performed super..It is the same physics as lead you cannot shoot 17/8 0z as fast as 1 oz with the same amount of powder, if you substituted lead for steel shot in the same spec load it would do 1850 fps. Contact RSI if you want to load 23/4 0r 3" they have lots of tested loads.
