TAC 1-7x24mmIR

Sightron has upgraded their 1-7x24mm scope with a new version that has some new features that make it much more attractive as a Service Rifle optic. The old version is still available.

The new scope is still SFP, however they have replaced the cheesy capped Light Optics turrets with exposed ones. While the clicks do feel somewhat mushy, they are an improvement over the old ones.

The simple dot crosshair reticle has been replaced with one that has mill hashes that can be used for ranging or leads on movers, etc... The 1x on this scope was decent, with little distortion and no noticeable doubling.

SIII 6-24x50mm FFP

Sightron has also released a new FFP version of their 6-24x50mm SIII. The turrets are in 0.1 mil clicks and felt somewhat crisper than the ones on the 1-7x

The reticle is quite thin and is not illuminated. It has 1 mil and 0.5 mil hash marks. It also has a center dot in it that isn't noticeable in the pic below.

The sales rep mentioned that Sightron plans to introduce more FFP scopes.
