Aimpoint has released the Comp M5, which is powered by a single AAA battery and at 147 grams (5.19 ounces), it is the most compact optic in the Comp series family of sights. There is said to be no loss of performance by switching to this battery type. Aimpoint claims an extremely long battery life with over 5 years of constant-on use at intensity level seven. The CompM5 is fully submersible up to 45 meters (150 feet), and is compatible with all generations of Night Vision Devices, as well as Aimpoint’s professional magnifier line.

That is the 84mm Recoilless Anti-tank Gun, Carl Gustav M3, and yes, it is a gun, not a rocket launcher.

It is a recoil-less rifle. In the anti-armour role the primary ammunition is RAP or Rocket Assisted Projectiles that ignite mid-flight. So, it is kind of a rocket launcher too.

Following the Comp M4 was the M4s - is there any chance there will be a Comp M5s?

I believe there is some information floating around stating that Aimpoint could not design the Comp M5 to have a lower battery compartment like the M4s. I can't seem to find the information right now.

Not physically possible, straight from the Aimpoint president's mouth.
