First post, the new IWI TS12 bullpup semi automatic shotgun was available for us to shoot.

The shotgun is fed through three manually rotating magazine tube. Unfortunately, this also means this shotgun has zero chance to enter Canada due to the rotating magazine design.

It is a "big" gun, purely because it needs to accommodate 12 ga, but comparing it to other guns like Strike 12 it is not big at all. I found it quite controllable to shoot and point. Without any time to drill, my impression is that the magazine "change" and reloading are not too convoluted like some of the other bullpen shotguns, even though I am not too fond of the "finger activated" switch to rotate magazine. I would rather to have something using gross motor skill. If I am looking for a bullpup semi shotgun that holds a million shells, this is the ticket.

Loading of TS12 as explained:

Can't they just replace the rotating mag on the gun to one where 2 tubes are solid plastic and you have 1 tube that’s real to be Canada legal? Or like all tubes blocked to 1/2 rd for a total of 5?

I'm sure they could, but it bastardizes the entire intent of it to the point that I just wonder why even bother...

It's 80's/early 90s action movies that sealed the deal on this one too many Striker Shotgun's used. I may lay blame to the bad guy from Darkman with his hefty Manville projectile launcher in the Helo...Liam Neeson should have gotten him earlier.

going back to the criteria i outlined in another thread about intuitive controls, felt recoil, and shooting performance, the TS12 is very complicated, has lots of recoil, and did not yield stellar shooting performance from me. That having been said, i kinda liked it...i felt that with more practice i could get used to the system..the one thing that i liked least was the placement of the button to allow you to rotate the magazines, a far reach forward with your trigger finger. I did like how the bolt closes automatically when it is chambered with a round from a rotating magazine.

North Sylva, would be nice to hear from you if you're reading this.
Canadian shooters wanna know if, and/or when TAVOR 7 is coming to Canada?
Thx.

well if you want to get technical...

5 rounds in each tube - 1 tube = 1 mag

if we are allow to have LAR mags coupled together...
isn't this the same idea?
the tubes are just coupled together, there's still a "mag change/tube change"

so if we follow that logic, shouldn't this be non-restricted if the barrel is long enough?

Shh, if the RCMP follow that logic they will ban coupling LAR mags together

oh my god... if RCMP lab decides so... it could ban a chimp from going to outer space with any sort of idiotic logic (point being they are high as #### when they think up some new bans/prohibs) - (I'm a very sour owner of a confiscated item from previous change of rulings)

if this shotgun is approved for Non-Restricted, could you imagine the 3-gun runs we could see from now on? that'd be a game changer!
