Quite a few wanted us to drop by the Kriss booth and check this one out; more than happy to oblige...

Hopefully final FRT from RCMP coming soon.

The Kris Vector .22lr

Just about every time I handle 22 that is dressed to look like something it is not I am generally let down. This is not the case with the Kriss 22. This is not just another blow back 22 in a clam shell held together with glue and hope.

As this is Kriss second kick at the can getting things into Canada, we should expect less issues. We have also been informed that they are looking at making one with a shorter BBL and a pinned stock in the future. Sadly no time line was provided. They have confirmed commercial production has started.

Although it does not use the same action type as its big brother, with the 22lr it is not needed. This has allowed for the possibility (in very early idea phase) of an adapter plate to allow for another mag to be stored in the rifle.

With the controls and feel being same as its bigger brother this will be for sure a good seller in Canada.

I've shot and had a few 22lr over the years but never again. Many out there don't.....but me myself....i get bored shooting a 22lr and end up selling it.

Speak for yourself! ;) This Kriss will never make it into my safe, but I can see the appeal. Another few 22 bolt guns though=always welcome. :)

I asked about this in the importer's thread awhile back, don't think I got an answer. Is this actually made by Kriss? Or is it just another piece of GSG crap?

I was talking to Charlie, the Kriss USA gunsmith, and he confirmed that they are indeed trying to get them here in Canada. They sent one for approval by the RCMP late last year and are anticipating approval sometime in mid 2020. Hopefully.

Oh, and they use a proprietary magazine, so only 10 rounders for now, but they are working on a 30 round one as well.

This is just a blowback .22lr design is it not? I don't think the action drives the weight down like the centrefire Vectors to lessen felt recoil. Still looks like a riot, 6.5" barrel semi NR, count me in.
