MDT is really charging hard in the chassis business. They have two new systems to show this year. One that is face meltingly lightweight and another that is incredibly customizable for PRS and other precision purposes.
The HNT26 is a EFFING LIGHT chassis with inletting for Rem700 Long&Short action, Tikka, Savage and Howa actions
When I say light i mean SERIOUSLY light. When the rep handed it to me I lifted up expecting more weight and almost punched myself in the face. Not really but almost!
Starting at 26oz, the chassis use a combination of carbon fiber and magnesium materials for a rigid but lightweight stock. Add in a Ti action and a CF barrel and you have the makings of an amazing lightweight hunting hunting or target gun.
Pricing is expected to be USD $1399-1599 depending on options such as folding or non folding chassis.
The next is the Elite chassis system intended to be their premier line.
The chassis is highly modular allowing you to change the grip length and angle ad well as move the thumb ramp and also the mag release button. You can change various aspects of the LOP and cheek rest as well.
