Wanstalls is pleased to announce that we have secured Boberg Arms for distribution into Canada!



Boberg Arms make a 4.2" Canadian legal version of their XR9 "bullpup" style Pistol. These stainless "low recoil" pistols measure an overall length of 5.95" and shoot regular and +P 9mm ammunition.

This quick video explains the Feed mechanism which allows for the bullet to be transferred into the action, keeping the gun "compact".

Uber compact design envelope. Maximum gun in minimum package size.

Does it do anything fundamentally different or better? Possibly not, but it's a clever design.

I have been waiting for this for a couple of years now, maybe more, ever since I first heard about them.

For those who don't know, Arne Boberg uses the feed mechanism from Browning's .50 calibre machine guns to draw cartridges out of the magazine backward, raise them up to the barrel, and insert them with an absolute minumum of wasted space -- we get a gun the size of a Kahr with full-size power and it's Canadian-legal!

Oh, the original design had some bugs in it. Boberg spent a couple of years refining the design before he felt it was ready for release. Now it's ready.

A bit pricey, of course, but nowhere near a premium 1911.

Sigh ... there go my good intentions about spending for this year.
