Spent last Sunday being humbled a little bit at Uxbridge Shooting Sports. I would call myself a fairly decent trap shooter, but had never tried skeet, 5 stand, or sporting clays.

We were accompanied around the various disciplines by two very nice gentlemen. Ed Holder and Rick (cannot for the life of me remember his last name ) from the club.

Our foursome had a great time and learned quite a bit. After shooting 5 stand and skeet, one of our guys had to shoot a round of trap just to make sure his gun wasn't off, he did that badly on the other disciplines!

I'll be back for sure!

If anyone has thought of going there to shoot, don't hesitate! Beautiful grounds and facilities, great members, decent pricing and accommodating management.

Thanks again Ed!

Never tried skeet? The horror! Hope you liked it best (as I do). Seriously, any day shooting a shotgun at clays is a good day, regardless of scores, IMHO.

Dollars to doughnuts it was Rick Ingham.

I've been shooting Sporting there since 1988 ... and Skeet well before that !
One of my favourite Clubs.

By all means, give Skeet & 5-Stand a try, they're all good games.
