I started shooting IDPA last year and I would like to improve my 'game'. I figured a shot timer would be a good investment but I can't seem to find any around.
I've read good things about the CED 7000 and I'm wondering if anyone has any personal experience with them. I'd be looking for something small enough to clip to a belt or pocket.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Yes, they are great, you still hear the beeep with hearing protection on and are small enough to have in front chest pocket or wherever.
I don't have one but used my buddy's many times and will be def buying one of those.
They run at US$120 across border.

We have been using RU Ready timers at our club for a few years and several of us bought them to use for practice. Made in Canada. They also generously supported our Provincial Tournament. They all run just fine.

Take Care

Dont know who stocks them in Alberta, but Murray Gardner stocks a couple brands. He's located in B.C.Web site is his name if you want to check it out.

For training I still gotta go with the PACT MkIV, it's got more features, more finite adjustments for both live fire and dryfire. The RU Ready are great for running matches but insufficient for practice aside from only the most basic drills. Par time cannot be set to the tenth or hundredth of seconds, there are no cadence, keyed beeps, programmable time delays, or random delays.
Pact can be used as a basic timer, a chronograph, a training timer, it can calculate lead for movers, power factor, ballistic calculations.
