hey guys,

i recently got my holster qualification at silverdale with the TDSA Advanced Pistol course and now im shopping for a shot timer. the two that im considering are the CED 7000 and Competition Electronics CEI-4710. they are approximately the same price so im wondering if any of you have experience with either of these.

thanks in advance.

The competition electronics pocket pro (not the 2) is the way to go. It's fantastic for live fire training and dry fire for par times. Instant setting of delay or instant start. No need to reset the timer. Easy to just slide the clip onto my pocket and not have to worry about clips or anything.

It's basically everything you'd need.

The pocket pro 2 hides some of those settings in menus. Makes it much more annoying to use. Same issue with the CED. I can change par times and rand/inst start without looking at the timer.

I've owned the CED 7000 and the DAA watch. Sold both of those and using just the pocket pro now.
