I have never purchased or used a shotgun adapter before. I am looking into buying the 12 gauge adapter set for 400 bucks off gaugemate.com, it's called the pocket arsenal. It comes with 8 adapters and they are seven inches long and rifled. I'm very curious to hear if anyone here ever tried rifled shotgun adapters. If so leave some info and tips below because I don't want to lose 400 bucks on garbage.

I built a rifled adapter in 32 S&W. Not very impressive results. A 4" group @ 25 yards is about the best that I can get and the shotgun has sights. The Youtube videos that I have looked at are not very encouraging either. My opinion is,,, if you must try it purchase one in your favorite caliber and see how it works before you go for the whole lot.

From what I have heard most of the short adapters generally seem to get 5" at 25 meters. The longer adapters, especially the ones with rifling, seem to get much better accuracy.

My creative side really wants to do something like make a series of full length adapters that use the complete length of the barrel.

The ones I want are 7" long with rifling.
Did you get them yet?

I just received my 7" rifled adapters from Gaugemate last week, they are having a special at $50 each if you buy them in pairs. I got them in .22LR, 9mm, .45 ACP, and .410/.45C. They ship to Canada. I thought it's pretty good since that's the same as the regular price for their 3" adapters.
The .410/.45C one seems a bit different in that it has a very short (appears to be roughly 1.5") section of rifling followed by a smoothbore section.

Really hope I have some time to try them out this week.

I'll be getting a 7" 12GA to 45 ACP and 7" 12 GA to 9mm gaugemate adapers coming in soon, I'll be willing to sell. Rather then canceling the order since I wanted the 10" Pocket Sniper 45, I figured Id sell them up here.

I ordered mine from MCAsports . Got an 8" 22mag, and 18" 45-70 inserts..
Hopping to receive next week.

I got some of the Gauge Mate Pocket Sniper 10" SS rifled barrel ones and use them in my Norinco 13" barrel Backpacker single shot shotgun, they work great, accuracy is as good or better than any handgun in the same calibre and the velocity is getting up to what you get with a rifle in the same calibre.

Thing to make sure of if you want good accuracy is to make a witness mark on insert and barrel and always make sure they are aligned for each shot to get consistent groupings.

With the Norinco Backpacker shotgun they make for a great handy survival outfit that fits easy into a backpack.

The company is great to deal with and ship to Canada, also the price seems very good for what you get.
