hey guys i just wanted to know what you thoughts on these cool little things are! i personly would love to try the 44 mag version out so i ordered two (i have a doubble barrel). clearly this is a very shot range tool(under 20 yards). but might be a pretty handy thing to have in the bush.

Im super curious, what makes them handy in the bush? They aren't accurate, and are not recommended for hunting by the manufacturer.

Bear defense? How is this solution ever better in any kind of way than a slug? That kind of difference could get someone mauled.

Someone has this tagline on here I don't know who it is, but it's true for me:

Only accurate guns are interesting

I could see gauging down a 12 for bird hunting, that's about it

Why is everything turned into bear defense? Ever heard of just having fun? Plinking with pistol ammo from your shotgun?

Since those are only 2 3/4" in length I wonder how much velocity would be lost in the 10ga-20ga conversion? Wish they were 18" long

say if you run out of 12 gauge and you have a sidearm in 44 mag you can use the same ammo in the shotgun. less recoil then a slug, and they are accurat up to 20 yards. so for small game id ideal. but ya its mosly for plinkiing and having cheap fun! but ya what is with all the bear defence? you start a thread about shot gun adapter then people are talkking about bear defence. :D

It's because bears are a terrible fire breathing beast just lurking around every corner, just waiting to devour any poor woodsman with an underpowered rifle.
Need an adapter to 500 nitro express!!!

(I hope you all can taste the sarcasm) :)

Well, I actually tried one or two out. A Dina Arms aluminum adapter, a 12 gauge shotshell sized adapter chambered in 22 WRM. I used it in a smoothbore slug shooter because it has a set of factory iron sights to aim with.

Accuracy was dismal, could not even hit an empty popcan at 20 yards from a good resting position.

However, I used to have the seven inch 357 steel adapter. In the 20 gauge chamber of a Savage 24C, it was pretty darn good at 40 yards or thereabouts.
I think this longer one is no longer made by Dina Arms Corp. Too bad.
