I got all your attention, didn't I?

I am not looking at buying a new shotgun right now, but instead modifying the one I currently own. My current setup is a Rem 870 Express, with the Knoxx SpecOps stock (pre-Blackhawk), 20" pipe, +2 shot extension. And it's rusting like a mofo.

That, and the bead sight is less than optimal for multi-gun shooting.

So, here are the questions:

1) Any gunsmith in the Kingston area that can do a parkerizing job?

2) Is it possible to install aftermarket ghost-ring sights? If so, who would carry them and what kind of prices are we looking at?

Thanks folks.

My only experience has been with Casey at TacOrd. He can do both parkerizing and GR installs. My experience was so positive that I won't be looking for another smith unless he decides to retire. Not in Kingston, but north of TO.

BBB, if there is someone here I'd trust for shotgun advice, that would be you. So, what do you reckon about my situation?

Came with the gun when I bought it. It's steel.

Pat send you gun to Casey @ tac ord , he is the only person i would let work on my shotguns.
His Work puts wilson combat to shame, its simply perfect.
what you wan to do if you have the money is this , and Casey can do it for you.
Mil spec parkerise the whole gun.
Telflon cote eather black gray or tan.
Dump the knoxx stock buy a mesa low tube adaptor with endine recoil buffer.
Houge A2 rubber pistol grip
Wilson combat steel iron sites

S&J no jam mag follower
S&J over sized safety

Well, all I really want is a refinishing and new irons since the bead doesn't cut it. I was never planning to put optics on that shotgun.

However, I am happy with the stock as it is, although a sidesaddle and the new safety are definitely in the cards, as is a new fore-end.

Oh, and I already have one of your followers, got it as a prize at that 3-gun shoot back in August.

Just as a ballpark, how much do you reckon that might run me?
