Shotgun barrel inserts, Antique Replicas & Powder restock

I've had a .50 for years but it it's one of those unproofed kit ones imported from Spain so it remains a wall hanger. One of my friends keeps saying to tie it to a tree and triple charge it. Then fire it with a string. I have passed on trying that.

We have more adapters on the way, should be some rifled ones.

We'll order more rifled ones in the future.

Gunsmith: Bits of pieces in Delta?

What's the reason for not having the flash-holes drilled?

I think you would sell a lot more guns if these flintlocks were functional.

A lot of reasons. A lot less export/import hassle.

Probably safe to assume the price would be doubled if they were in firing condition.

We just need to find a gunsmith that will drill the flash hole and proof fire it. Or figure out a proof load and do it yourself

The country of origin has strict laws regulating the sale and export of firearms. No touch hole - it is not a firearm, no export issues.

Both gvanzeggelaar and tiriaq are correct.

The country of origin (India) is not an easy place to export firearms out of.

If we were to get them proofed and made legal firearms, the price would also be much higher. Some people just want wall hangers, etc.

Also, as these were originally made of rod iron and other weak materials, it's not like any modern steel would fail proof testing for black powder. At the end of the day it's cheaper for you to get your gun smith to drill it out for you. if that is something that makes you uncomfortable (saving money and using an unproofed barrel with 10x the strength of the original) than I guess these aren't the muskets for you.
