Wholesale Sports has a web special for the 870 Express Super Mag for $399 + Remington has a $30 mail in rebate, seems like a great price thought I would pass it along to all the nutz.

Thanks for the heads up. I looked at that deal last year but the coupon they have in store reads valid only in the USA. There may be a way around it but I thought that was pretty cheesy for Remington to ship that up here.

not sure if it'll work the same was as the coupon I got with my smith and wesson mp9, but it said valid only in the US, I sent it in, and got my rebate and free magazines. Only one way to find out.

I bought my 870 Express some years ago when there was a Remington mail in rebate deal going on. The coupon said only in the U.S. but I mailed it in from here and they sent me a rebate check (US$50 :) ). I wouldn't buy the gun just because of that, but if you were going to get a pump shotgun anyway, and you don't have anything against the 870, get on with it and try for the rebate.

I bought a supermag last september. It had extraction issues, especially with cheap walmart winchester trap loads. it also had a small hairline crack in the buttstock. I wasn't too pleased to say the least. Gun was gone for a month for warranty, but its all better now.

I hope the QC at remington gets better, it would be a shame to see the 870 eclipsed by the nova.....

I bought my 870 express super mag synthetic 3 years ago. I've put a few thousand shells through it, and the only problems were extraction issues w/ the cheap winchesters as tbell mentioned. So I don't buy em. Federal's are the same price, and work fine.
