I just got my pal

This is my question I wanna but a shotgun for around 3 Grand.

I would like my shotgun to be able to shoot skeet ducks and deer if possible.
i also would like it the be a semi.

a bonus would be if it can chamber up to 3 and a half.

could the great members here tell me the best Firearm to buy and and what are the best shells they prefer that they like for foul. thank for your input

You might very well want 2 guns then!

Are you looking to shoot skeet for competition? Or at a club? Or on your own property? I would recommend a 12g or 20g over/under for skeet. (w/int/choke(s))

For hunting waterfowl and deer you could go with a combo smooth bore (w/int/choke) and then a rifled barrel for slugs for deer? Unless you want to use buckshot then you could stay with smooth bore.

Is there any particular brand and or model you have looked into and like?

Do you want to shoot skeet to regulations? or just for fun?

Deer hunting or any big game hunting for that matter, would you want to use slug? Which slugs come in 2"3/4 and 3" shell lengths.

There are also different barrel length. 20-22inch is rifled barrel, 26-28inch is considered
waterfowl barrel. Longer barrel less recoil.

Personally Excalibur in my opinion stay away from Rem. Unless you go for there higher quality products. Even then watch Remington.

Yes you can get the browning in Canada

I have my browning catalog right beside me (I was looking at it little earlier lol)an the Maxus has 8 different models. Sporting for clays w/30inch barrel $1629.00 U.S. Maxus w/Mossy oak duck blind 3"1/2 chamber w/28inch barrel $1539.00 U.S. Maxus rifled deer w/mossy oak break up 3inch chamber 22inch rifled barrel w/cantilever for optics $1509.00

A friend bought a Maxxus this year and it has seen some use for duck, geese and trap... He is very happy with and in my opinion it is a very nice gun... If you could pick one up with a shorter rifle sighted or optics compatible barrel it would fill your needs... From what I have gathered tracking down spare barrels for Brownings may be a special order thing, and you might have to wait a while to get it...

Have you looked at what Benelli has to offer, they are pretty hard to beat as well...

As others have said, 2 guns would also be a viable option for you too, given the budget you have set aside...

My choice would be an over/under with interchangeable chokes for skeet, trap and upland hunting... Then a good quality 3.5 pump or auto with a 28" vent rib barrel and a 20 to 24" dedicated slug barrel...

You also may find you get more advice on this if you had posted this in the hunting and sporting shotguns sub forum....
