I have an AYA SXS. It was baught in Spain over 30 years ago now by my dad. Is there a demand for this type of thing? I have it listed on the exchange forum but nobody really seems interested enough to buy it. The posting has pictures and an explanation of the shotgun.

Can someone give me tips or give me an accurate quote on what this rifle is really worth so that I can price it to sell.

There has to be at least one of yous guys willing to buy this gem.LOL

Many thanks guys.

Alfonso, for $500 your AyA is good value, a good gun and someone will buy it. The market for these animals is somewhat limited, so just be patient and it will sell. There are a couple of things limiting your guns market. First is the 30 inch tightly choked barrels with 2 3/4" chambers. Duck barrels, really, but unable to take steel shot. Bismuth or TM is what will have to be used for waterfowl. For upland use, the chokes should be opened up, and that adds to the cost of the gun. The Spanish single selective trigger has a less than stellar reputation, but if yours has worked for all these years it will probably not fail now. The beavertail fore end, the pistol grip, the single trigger and white line spacer on the pad were exactly what the American market demanded when the gun was new. Times and tastes change, and the SXS market today wants more classic lines for the uplands (look at the CZ Bobwhite, Ruger Gold Label, etc.) and demands 3" chambers and steel shot capability for waterfowl.

Remember, these are todays popular choices. Not everyone follows current trends, and there are many who see the advantages in the design of your gun. AyA is a good maker with a fine reputation. You will find a buyer, but he is not a mainstream kind of guy, so it may take a while. Be patient.
