Afternoon fellow Gun nutters.

Wanted to get some information on a 20 gauge 3in full choke shotgun that has been sitting in my safe for sometime (since i was a kid basicly)

Made in Brazil by Companhia Brasileira De Cartuchos
20 gauge 3", full choke single break action.

Trying to decide if i should keep it or sell it for something i would use.
So any background information and value u can place on it would be great.

Thanks

Unless im mistaken, that is the same gun as a Remington Model 812.

I'd say maybe $150. Probably about the same as a Cooey in similar condition.

EDIT - Heres one on the EE for $130

And another that sold for $120

Both are being sold shipped for the prices quotes so knock 30.00 off min for shipping.

The company made them for Remington and CIL. The action release in front of the trigger guard has to be one of the best designs going. Very easy to operate. Not many CILs or Remingtons were chambered in3" magnum. Just the same they are solid, reliable guns that mostly ended up on farms and other rural applications due to their price. I think one like yours is worth closer to 150.00 REMEMBER if it is worth more than the low ballers to you keep it and enjoy it.

Thanks Darryl,

Yeah for the price that "its worth" compaired to the fact that its a great looking gun, i just might wrap it up and leave it in the safe till my son gets old enough to come bird hunting with me.

I borrowed a pal's in high school and I remember that I liked the release in the trigger guard all over the tang type on my Savage 94 C single. Your son will enjoy it and the stories about it in the future. This discussion will be one of the stories....

That is what I did with mine ( a friends son, since I have girls) and I am not trying to low ball you just share what the book says and exactly what I paid new for one in 1978.I had a 410 and a 20ga.
Handing it over to your son some day makes it priceless. I will never forget the look on the young guys face.take care

Biggest problem with them is that the fore-end spacer breaks quite easily as you'll find many out there with that problem and when it does good luck trying to find a replacement. I'm still trying to find one for a 12g. CIL made them as well and are models 402 (.410) and 802 (20/12g).
