ok im in the process of purchasing a project shotgun

the seller states its a Stevenson Model 77 12 gauge pump (probly stevens)

i cant find a synthetic stock for it and am just wondering if there is another model of shotgun that the stock will work on with little to no modification

Thanks

Eric

When you say "project gun" , what do you mean? 1: An inexpensive gun in dis-repair that you are going to fix back to shooting condition? 2: Or a gun that you will convert to a super fancy black shotgun with folding/adjustable stock, short barrel , barrel shroud , etc.? If it is #1 Get or buy factory parts. Check www.e-gunparts.com to see if they have any of the parts you need. If it is #2 There are a few parts that are universal like some barrel shrouds, and barrels can be shortened to 18 1/2 inches. But all the plastic stocks , folding stocks, adjustable stocks, really short barrels, side saddles, scope mounts, basically all the cool stuff are usually only made for Remington 870 and clones, Winchester 1200/1300, Mossberg 500 and similar models, and limited availability to some Ithaca's and Remington 1100's. After checking GUNPARTS I found they have some short 18 in. barrels and Vietnam era military stocks and maybe some Savage parts may fit , there also was a plastic fore end. These parts may have to be purchased through a dealer in Canada that has the proper import papers , or maybe someone in the EQUIPMENT EXCHANGE has some of these parts.
