A while ago I was having an arguement with someone on here, I knew there was a picture of an AR class rifle with a RAS on it that had a 12 gauge on the bottom. I was checking out some stuff on the net and I found it again, here it is. Its called the masterkey system.

Well its kinda a outdated system, Its easyer to carry a smaller shotgun on your back then to have one on your AR, mostley Mil/LE use shotguns mostley for breaching doors so not really a consern to have on your gun...

These have been around for a while.

It is much easier and more effectve to use a short shotgun. That setup would be very awkward to use in a typical breaching situation.

Definately more for looks than anything else.

IF it has a legal short barrel and when attached to the other gun it has an overall length of 26 in. it should be legal and not PROHIBITED. The AR 15/16 might be restricted.

Not really....if so, they would have issued full length 870s and Mossy 500s...

They Issue us 18" 870 shotguns, With LE top folding stocks...

Well, they havn't really issued you anything have they? You're still on the fence...when/if you enlist you can say "us" :)

At any rate, We the Marines have 24-28" barreled Mossy 500s and 870s. Standard synthetic stocks. I was also addressing the fact that you said they are used for breaching only or mainly. Not true. MSG @ Embassies, bases, MPs, Det1 and almost every Marine unit have them available, and guess what? They are not necc. for breaching. The shottie is still an effective CQB weapon!!
