Pattern Board construction
We built a patterning board at the club using 4x4s as a frame on a set of skids 6' long,
braced the 6' uprights with 3' 4x4s on each side of the uprights, at about 40 degree angle.
The we mounted a 4'x4' sheet of 1/8" steel on the uprights.......
We use a roller paint brush, and a mixture of light grease and some white oil based paint mixed-in.
Just take a wad, make a + aiming point on each half of the plate, then do your patterning.. to refrest the target area, just run over it with the roller and remark your +.
It was approved by CFO for no shot larger than 7 1/2s, and for sure NO STEEL shot.
