Will changing to a different wad change the shot pattern. I reload "AA" and sometimes Top Gun. Thinking about trying a windjammer wad or others to see if my pattern will improve. Any suggestions of a good combination. I shoot a Beretta 391 Urika 2

Yes changing the wad will probably change the pattern. What is your 391 doing that you wish to improve?

The wads are over $2:00 a bag cheaper. Since i posted a few days ago, I have loaded up some 1 oz and some 1 1/8 oz both #7 1/2 and #8 with the windjammer wads. I found that the windjammers were just as good, maybe even better than the Claybuster WAA12 and the WAA12SL I have been using.

" just as good, maybe even better" ... how did you quantify that ?
Pattern percentage/density compared to ? Ease of reloading ? Something else ???

Is your reference to old "Windjammer" inventory, or the Claybuster CB4118-12B Windjammer replacement ?

Patterns

My reference is to the replacement CB4100-12B and the
CB4118-12B windjammer. We tested the patterns at 35yds
and 45 yds from the paper with a 30" circle drawn on the paper. We used two different Berettas....one was a Beretta optima and the other was a 391 Urika 2. We were using a full choke. We were shooting 1oz. and 11/8oz #71/2 and #8
with a WAA12 and WAA12SL Claybuster wad. We did the same using the windjammer wad. We shot 4. shells of each load. We found that the windjammer wads had a tighter pattern with more pellets in the circle at both yardage 3 out the 4 times. We were using Lauwrence lead,
promo powder at 18 gr. and AA hulls.

I guess if more pellets in a circle at a given yardage is an improvement, then your wj wads are better? Depending on the range and type of target I am shooting, sometimes I look for an even spread over a certain area instead of a center dense pattern?
