Hey,
My buddy has a 1964 remington 11a semi-auto shotgun. We were out shooting some clays today and my buddy took a shoot and the barrel jammed into the gun. We took it apart and found a shell had broken in half just above the metal part. We thought it was a faulty shell so we took a few more shots and this is what ended up happening ( look at pics below) and now its not loading properly. He has never had a problem with this gun jamming befoe today. Anone have any idea what might have caused this?
Thanks.

We keep hearing about those crappy Federal shells. You're just getting your money's worth.

me and a couple buddies fires off about 300 rounds of that cheap federal ammo, about a week ago and about 280 round ended up looking like yours, in the same gun that same day we also fired 100 rounds of remington sportsman and did not have a problem.
