Shotgun question for cowboy action shooters

I was looking recently at a coach gun made by D. Pedersoli. The chokes on the gun are modified and improved modified which is a lot tighter than what are normally available in a coach gun. Would there be any advantage to chokes this tight in cowboy action shooting?
