Seems that there is a lack of consistent shotgun reloader supplies in Canada. The dealings I have had are characterized by inconsistent supply, poor response from retailers to enquiries or just ignored altogether and limited quantities (if at all) of powders amongst other things as well.

Having reloaded rifle for many years I did not experience these same problems with such regularity. Is there an importer/retailer that addresses these issues that perhaps I am not aware of?

I've tried the usual Cabelas, Wholesale etc as well as some of other smaller retailers including a couple who sponsor this site. Any suggestions.

Maybe if you narrowed down your location to say a province someone might be able to help. I doubt there would be any savings shipping lead shot from SW Ontario to Yellowknife, or powder from BC to NS.
 
For mail order you shouldn't have too much trouble though I would hate to pay the shipping on a bag of shot. :D

I have dealt a bit with ht tp://bilozir.net/ as he comes to a lot of guns shows in Alberta.
 
Generally the best thing to do is hang around a trap/skeet club and see if they have "a guy" who deals supplies to members, usually out of his basement.

The retailers have mostly dropped shotgun reloading stuff because the shooters have dropped shotgun reloading, period.
 
Wait for Henry to get back in September (Budget shooter supply), i even ordered 2 X25lb bags of shot, shipping and taxes still worked out less then local.
 
One other option is to talk to the local trap and skeet club. Usually the company supplying them with targets will also sell reloading components. Sometimes they will add that the load when they deliver targets. It means you must plan ahead and be ready to buy a relatively large order. This can be a great way to get shot, which is usually costly to ship. Other than that I will second the suggestion to call Budget Shooters Supply when Henry gets back this fall.
 
I'll throw another vote in for Henry at Budget Shooter Supply. He is within a couple of bucks of Higginson. Service is second to none.
