Shotgun scope on a rifle?

Hey,

I have a shotgun scope, and a .308 that needs one. I've heard a shotgun recoils more, but in a different way. Do you think I'll run into problems? Thanks,

So long as you mount teh scope so that the eye relief is correct for your head/eye, the scope will work.

The shotgun scope parallax is set for short range. Probably around 50 yards. So long as you intend to use the 308 for eastern deer (close range) this would be ok, too.

If you check on the manufacturer's website, they should list the specs... By default, Leupold shotgun scopes have their paralax set to 75 yards.
