Hello there everyone, I just wanted to get an idea of what everyone would recommend in terms or a shotgun scope for my slug gun. Right now it has a 1.75-4 Bushnell trophy. I like the scope but I feel having the higher power of a 2-7 would make shots out to 150 yards a bit easier.

But my choices are:

Bushnell 3200 2-7x32

or

Leupold Vx-1 2-7x32

Any good/bad of either, just looking for future choices for maybe this coming deer hunt.

Thanks a lot

Almost all my scopes are low powered variables which include a 2x7, 1.5x6, 1.5x5, 1.5x4.5, 1x4, and 1x3.

The one that I like the best for a slug gun is my Weaver 1x3. Small, light, reliable, with good eye relief makes it perfect for the task.

I had a 3200 in 2x7 one time and didn't like it as it was hard to get the eye placement right for a fast shot.

lol no no super long ranges here, its just where I hunt, we drive deer so I have the close range running shots and the longer walking/standing shots. I just want to be covered for the longer shots (not too many over 150 yrds, never over 200) Thats where I feel that a larger variable scope would be best, like a 2-7.

Thanks a lot I was leaning towards a Leupold. - Now dont the "shotgun" scopes generally have a wider FOW?
