Shotgun scope/sights

Just put on a saddle rail on my 870. Been shooting slugs out of it for fun and want to put a scope or some sort of sight on it. Just wondering if anyone has any reccomendations.

Im thinking some thing whith a bit of zoom though im not apposed to red dot.

Im looking to spend less than $250. Im mostly worried that recoil will be an issue but im not sure if it is.

That is why you buy a shotgun specific scope, should say on the box. My bushnell reddot says pistols/ shotguns.

Take a look at the Mueller 2-7 Multi-Shot.
Fits your budget has gotten great reviews and is a shotgun scope.
 
I have an 835 w/slug barrel and knoxx recoil reducing stock that makes scopes without unlimited eye relief forehead smashers. I have a Vortex SPARC ($220 at Grouse River Outfitters) red dot coming and will report on it's effectiveness.
