I want to order a ghost ring set for a 14" norinco 870 copy.

I like the style with "ears" that protect the front sight, but I am concerned that this style, that attaches by slipping over the muzzle, will interfere with the +1 Extension.

I dont really care about the tritium sights, so I imagine that is one customs nightmare I can do without.

Anybody know where to find something like this under $200 for both post or blade front sight and elevation/windage adjustable rear apperature sight?

Thanks

Andy

I've got an ATI heatshield with GR sights on order from Marstar to put on my 870 MM. Not entirely sure it's going to fit with the stock foreend though. I suspect that I may wind up going for a proper set of GR sights...

Yeah, while the ATI rig is certainly in my price range, I suspect that they are not very good sights. Not that the need for PERFECT sights exist. But I dont like it that they are plastic, and I also dont like it that the heat shield is not the most rigidly mounted component to be fitting sights on to.

Plenty good for a range blaster IMHO,but I am actually looking to make something that will protect me and mine though.

As for fitting the heat shield, I have put a couple of these on in the past and the top surface of the slide always had to be taken down a bit.

Just remove the slide wih action bars and draw-file the top of the plastic handguard. Just buff it up with some fine sand paper when you are done if you want it to look smooth

the only thing to get are the wilson combat sites

Any idea where a) I can score me a set in the Cornwall area, b) where to go to get them installed in the same area, and c) what about having to sight them in again after taking the barrel off (saying "Oh, I'm just off to sight in the shotgun" strikes me as kind of odd :) )?

X2 on the question of availability within Canada, and Price.

There are lots of other parts I need too, but the sights are priority #1

I got a line on trijicon sights, but the rear sight is no protected by anything. I need something with "Ears"

edit* Actually I take that back, the lak of ears on the rear sight is not a huge deal for me. Its going to see "Hard use" but its not going to have to endure the ABUSE a military firearm has to endure. I think I am going to go with the trijicon sights, unless theres some scattergun tech ones kicking around, but arent they the same thing?

They might be a little over $200 though......
Italian Sporting Goods in Vancouver used to carry them so you could give them a call 1 877 225 4741 or 604 254 7513 local.
