I am looking at getting another barrel for my 870, something in the 20'' range. I recently found one on the EE that has a rifle style sight on the the muzzle end of the barrel, but no other sight on the other end of the barrel. The rifle style sight is really tall and apparently does not line up well with the back of the receiver so in my mind there must be a an additional sight on the original shotgun mounted to the receiver? Has anyone seen this kind of setup before? Is the matching sight available/installable or would I be better to avoid this and just find a bead sight barrel? For my purposes the bead sight has suited me fine, I wouldnt mind trying something new, but would want it to be functional. Thanks for any help!
 
You could probably put ghost ring sights on the back. They likely had a mil dot sight or something like that on it.
Ghost ring sights are fairly expensive and would boost the cost of your barrel.
 
Ghost ring sight mount on the receiver. Receiver need to be drill and tap. Expect about 100$ for the sight only. About 60$ for the installation. You better go for a bead sight if it suit your need
