Hello just looking for some information on shot makers. Seems the Littleton is the only one I can find. Dose anyone else have a suggestion. I recall seeinfg one small single ported shot maker in a guy's garage 20 years ago. It worked pretty good for his personnel use. What do you think?
:)

We use the Littletons...it is slow and quite involved to get good shot, the best speed we have acheived is about 40#/hr......there is alot to it.....the coolant must be just right in regards to mixture ratio...and must be changed regularly for cold as it heats up quickly, if coolant is not exactly right you will get dimples or tails. Shot must be screened, then washed, then dried, tumbled and treated with graphite. We have about 1.5K invested in equip. for making only 1 size of lead shot(#8)

I don't know what type my buddy has but he makes more than 40lbs an hour. His shot is dripped into amoo can filled with brake fluid, the fluid then over flows and is pumped through a baseboard radiator and then pumped back into the ammo can., no need to change the fluid.
