Hi Everyone
I just read on a post at another forum that Lead-12 gauge, 7 1/2 Shotshells have rocketed up in price at Cabalas in the USA. The posting is at( http://www.trapshooters.com/cfpages/thread.cfm?threadid=143884&messages=22 )I checked on Cabalas website. Sure enough the shotshells went from about $45.99 / 250 case to $74.99 / 250 case for their cheapest shotshells ( Kent)
Is this going to happen up here. I know that lead and the price of shot has gone thru the roof. So I'm going to stock up. If this does happen up here soon I don't think that anyone will be able to go shooting clays anymore.
Has anyone else seen the prices of shotshells jump yet?
Regards, Henry

If its happening at Cabelas you can guarantee it will happen every where, wait till you see how much Win AA are going to sell for this year. FS

Just a little while ago (maybe about 3 months) I noticed that the price of the 100 packs of Federal and Winchester target loads went up to $26 and $28 at Canadian Tire from their usual $20.

I'd hate to see it go higher than this, but in keeping with ammo prices across the board, it seems to be inevitable.

Who knows, maybe reloading for shotguns will become economical again (and perhaps, unfortunately, necessary).

Im still reloading 12 guage, I bougt a shotmaker a few years ago from a dude on Vancouver Island who makes them and I get about 600 lbs of wheelweights free from the local tire shop. a little time and effort and cost about 11 or 12 cents a round.

I don't think shotshell reloading will save alot of money at least in 12 Ga.....the price of shot right now is $50/bag!!!
