Hey I have some newb questions about shotshell reloading

in my search for cheap slugs I'm considering casting them and reloading the shotshell. Can you buy rifled slug casts and how are shotshells sold- can one buy a pre primed and powdered case?

Also any tips on reloading slugs appreciated

There is someone on here that sells all that kind of stuff.....you will have to find empties that match the loads you find in print, it's best to get a Mec 600jr. 12 ga. press for this work...as you have to deprime/size, prime cases, drop proper amount of powder, seat wad/wads, seat slug and then crimp. The slugs come with data and use commonly avail. shotcups, you just have to stick to the recipe, don't set out on your own.....

I use a lee slug mould 7/8oz. Lee load all press. Noble primer 36grs hs6 or 18grs 700x. 7/8oz grey claybuster wad in a remington sts hull. No shot cards. They work ok for 50 yard shots

I use the lee slug mold in 525 gr. I use pure lead. I load into AA hulls that are once fired. I use 35 grs of SR 4756. It flipped my bear completely over last year.

Remember rifled slugs for a smooth bore and saboted slugs for a rifled bore.

You sure you don't mean the lyman slug at 525 gr? What wad are you using?curious as I have both lee 1oz and lyman 525 gr sabot slug mouulds and plentiful aa hulls and a monster keg of 4756.I've been looking for data for this combo for a while, any info would be greatly appreciated.
