Hey Folks,
I ordered a 10/22 reciever ( from a dealer in my own province) on Sept. 6th, got an e-mail the next day asking for my place of birth (to register the reciever) and haven't heard or recieved anything since. Sent a follow-up e-mail on the 16th and 24th and called and left a message voicing my concerns on Friday. Called this morning and I get the answering machine.
What do you guys (and gals) think I should do ??
Thanks, Mike

The seller does not need any other info than your name, addy and PAL number. The CFC will ask different types of questions about birthdate etc. but not the seller. Do you have the sellers name, addy and PAL number? These should, in any case, be asked for first, before any money exchange..

No response, then contact CFC to see if a transfer has begun, if negative, then legal letter would be my next move. If transfer has been started, then the seller is in possession of an unregistered gun and should be reminded of that situation. Last resort, as I am sure that a dealer does not want any negative statements mentioned on this site , very last is to ask local RCMP to intervene. It could be a major overlook on the seller's part.
