I'm debating what to get or build her. Am inacurate gun is waste of money in my opinion. I've got a factory target model 10/22, while I may not compare to the high end aftermarket barreled it is night and day better than the half dozen basic models I've sighted in for other people.

How's does the sr perform? Is it a waste of
money, hay should go to building her somehing decent? She isn't goig to compete but like i want her to hit what she aims at. 4"@100y is not
acceptable. Mine love. Ae 40gr solids and shoots 2"@100 all day every day. I've tried other bulk with horrible results. Her gun must be comparabe.

I'm thinking i should be buying a basic model, tossing a dlask on it, working the trigger but if I can buy something decent without running around the world .....

I bought a SR in the spring and I cannot say a bad thing about it. Youll hear alot about extraction problems and feeding issues. The whole magazine debate will come up and all that good stuff. Read all that junk before I bought mine. I bought mine anyway. I have about 2000 rounds through mine since I bought. It has no internal work done to it at all. The action is bone stock. I have had 3 jams in 2000 rounds. First jam was the first bullet I shot. Didnt put the clip in correctly. Easy problem to fix. Second jam was shooting crappy Winchester stuff. Easy problem to fix as well. My SR loves the federal value pack stuff. Eats it like candy. Third jam was just the other day. Dont know why so I chucked the shell and loaded a new one.Good to go. I use a Butler Creek Steel Lip mag. I put a red dot on for a sight. Rails from Dlask and a foregrip. Its one of my favorite guns. It is a bit heavy when you start to add stuff onto it. Only downfall. Everyone complains that mine weighs to much. Ive carried it around so much Im used to it. Id say go for it. They look awesome to!

My wife loves mine, keeps trying to say it is hers. I just sit her on the range with it and some butler creek mags and mag loader and she will go threw a brick or more of ammo while I do my thing.

How's the accuracy though, with magnified optics. We both like shooting smaller items
at farther distance. My favorite game is shooting golfballs, a race to a finish line.

Just buy one, & be done with it. I got one for my son for Christmas. I'm seriously thinking of selling one of my 10/22's & buy another one for my self.
