Should I paint my CZH2003 grip and stock

I'm not really fond of the redish plastic/wood look of my CZH stock.

Should I paint it? What will stick to the plastic best? What colour?

Anyone have any pictures of their painted CZ stocks, I'd love to see them.

I've seen Czech videos with SA58s that have had their stocks and grips painted black. They looked kind of corny, being as the metal was still grey and the wood's texture gave the glossy black paint they used a weird reflection pattern. But, to each his own... Frankly, I really can't see anything wrong with the bakelite. It's authentic!! There's no way I'm ever changing mine!

Why does the little dot on the bottom of my post show up as red. When I put the mouse cursor over it it says JeffMan is invisable.

What does this mean?

I think I'm gona' leave em' the way they are. Some of you have convinced me. My wife said it would look cheesy, like I had put to much work into what should be a tool. Damn I love that woman, she's handy with a 1911 too.

Maybe if I had a second set I'd paint them but not untill then.

Thanks

Jeff

My VZ58 came with a spare set of wood. I sanded it down, stained it black and then sprayed Canadian Tire truck bed liner paint. Looks nice and seems to be reasobaly durable.

Paint it....you'll be happy provided you choose the right colour/right paint.

Here's mine done with melamine (contertop) paint - very hard and scratch/solvent resistant and easy to have mixed in any shade you desire...
