I just got a VQ exact edge extractor, and a VQ target hammer. I am about to install them, but I remember reading on here somewhere that you should stick with your stock Ruger 10/22 springs instead of using the VQ springs that come with the parts......trouble is, I can't remember which springs that was referring to?

So, should I use all the springs that came with the extractor/hammer or stick with the ones I have?

Thanks.

I just finished the installation.....WOW what a difference in pull weight! I wasn't expecting that big of a difference.

I ended up using all the VQ springs except the extractor spring...If I find I'm getting any light primer strikes I'll swap out the hammer strut spring back to the factory spring.

The trigger/sear/disconnect were a little tricky getting back in, then I came across the "plastic fork trick" and popped it in as easy as pie.

Can't wait to try her out tomorrow! Calling for 15-30 cm of snow but I'll still be heading out to try out the upgrades, lol.

why not the extractor spring?

why not the extractor spring?

FTE was the main issue with their spring. I had it happen to me a couple times as well. I changed back to my OEM spring and never had it happen again. The spring is not stiff enough or to soft would be my guess.
