Should I worry about parallax on a 2.5x scope?

Considering mounting one of the Leupold Lightweight 2.5x scopes with the wide reticule on a .22 rimfire.

1. What range is the parallax on that particular scope adjusted for?
2. More importantly, does parallax even happen or matter on a 2.5x scope?

I use a 1.5-5x20 VXIII on one of my 22's, works great
