i searched arount , and found out the cheapest 9mm is around 30 cents each, should we purchase a lot for the future?
seems that the ammo price is increasing all the time?
or it is the timming of hunting or some shortage in US now?
what are you going to do? buy a small quanlity just enough to use currently, wait for next spring big promotion comes out?

cheers

I have 1500 rounds of 9mm in the safe now. My price averaged .33ea before GST. I'd keep buying, but don't shoot my pistols much lately. If I were you, I'd buy it at .30ea.

(My stuff is Federal, S&B, and Blazers)

You can still get Winchester white box 9mm for about $27 per round. That's generally my go-to, as it's reasonably priced and I can get it locally (no shipping charges).

Damn prices are high but not completely ridiculous
Reloading equipment and components were a very good investment the last few years. Loading for around 12 cents a round now

For the short term I'll wait for the Christmas to see if there are any good sales. For the long term, I'm thinking Dillon 650 ...

Very good idea, and you can play around with calibers using same primers and powder.
So while i have a few thousand 9mm projectiles, i am currently loading .40 with the same powder primer.
If i feel like shooting 9mil more its a 2 minutes swap on the press, change casings and projectiles and away we go.
I bought a dillon 550 april 2013, and figured that it had paid for itself under 10 months when comparing reloaded ammo vs factory ammo costs, definatly worth it!

Still finding brass and steel-cased 9mm in the US for .22-.26/round. I only stock up on 9mm that I see for $10-11.00 a box. Do you get Russian steel-case shooting ammo in Canada? What ever happened to the 'cheap' Chinese stuff? I sure miss those days.

I just paid .26 a round for some Blazzer brass on sale, bought 1000 rounds, wish I could have afforded more but had to get some other cals too

What kind of materia needed to buy to make a reload by yourself, like the case, the primer and the project, what is the cost of each of them? and need any equipments, cost?

cheers

Projectiles are 9-10 cents each for plated bullets. Primers are 3-4 cents each but prices are rising. Powder (when you can find it) is about $35-$40 per pound (7,000 grains/lb) and you will use 3-6 grains per round depending on what you are loading and what powder you are using. Brass for many calibers can be found for about 10 cents each but will be reloaded many times - range brass is free.

Equipment can vary substantially in price and for pistol you will want a turret press or progressive press. At the low end you have Lee presses ($150 to $300) and at the top end you have Dillon 550/650 ($500+). Depending on what accessories you want/need (bullet feeder, case feeder, etc) the price can vary substantially. You will also need dies for each calibre.

You're then going to want to load for rifle....case gauges, better powder scales, etc.
