I wish the gun was in better shape (it's actually very good, but missing the loader arm). However, I'm confused.....I googled Beaumont Adams, and it certainly looks like some of the earlier revolvers, but I cant find reference to Bissett specifcally pertaining to the beaumont....? Did Baumont adams refer to the "design" or to the "Maker"? Is it possible that Bissett made these guns for Beaumont?

Anybody know where I could go to dig deeper?

Sorry I should have said my beaumont adams was a guess. Bissett might also be just a retailers name. i.e made by beaumont adams, tranter or even a belgium maker a nd marketed by some outfit called bisset.

Best thing is to get some better pics in this forum and then dingus, claven or one of our experts will id it.

Heres what I managed to find out so far.....

It is a Tranter Patent marked D/A 5 chamber percussion, manufactured by John Blissett between 1850 and 1857 (before the co. became "Blissett and sons")

Now.....if I could just find out what it's worth.
