Just wanted to thank Armtac for their ability to provide that unobtainium we drool over out of the US.
This is an upper they threw together for me, in a very short time frame:

-vltor mur upper
-bcm bolt carrier group
-noveske 13.5" nsr handguard
-noveske 16" lightweight stainless barrel

Also picked up a vltor lower from them that I added a geissele super three gun trigger and an ergo m93 stock to.

The nsr handguard is awesome, very easy to get a solid high thumb grip on. It's very natural to drive to a target, more so than any other handguard I've tried.
It's also very lightweight.
The rifle is 8.8 pounds as pictured, with excellent balance.

Light enough that the wife is threatening to adopt it as her own :(

Well played on the build choices!

+1 on the Armtac front. Chris has been very helpful with me over the last while also.

Armtac has been nothing but stellar with me! i have bought a complete vltor rifle which i thought for a couple years was unobtaianalble till i met them! Chris always with no questions asked goes OVER and ABOVE my expectations!! not mentioning any other dealers names should take note on Armtacs service! i myself am waiting for some parts on building me a noveske/vltor rifle as my next project! nice pictures and choices!

Loving it, here's a couple 5 round groups directly after doing a 70 round mag dump session to check for poi shift with a hot barrel.
100 yards,4x magnification, smoking barrel and a rapid firing pace.
Taking my time, I can see this thing shooting bugholes in the future.

The old dear loves her coconut oil !

The ergo is nice, same functionality as a ubr but less weight.
Fit and finish isn't quite as nice though.

A few questions on the lower if I can....

I believe this comes with the carbine spring and buffer. Do you know the buffer weight?

Is the buffer tube properly staked?

Do the QD swivel point work as well as they look to?

I am thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these and yours has me drooling!!

Great Build!:dancingbanana:

I didn't weigh the buffer, standard carbine I think.
The buffer tube wasn't staked, which was nice actually.
The qd sockets are a nifty touch, very streamlined.
